Please Note: Due to the ongoing labour dispute between the City of Windsor and CUPE Locals 82 and 543 the 2009 International Dragon Boats for the Cure Festival has been moved to the Town of Tecumseh.
About Us
For the world at large, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. However, many people in Windsor Essex County work every month to prepare for our summer dragon boat festival which funds breast cancer initiatives. We at the FDJ International Dragon Boats for the Cure thank you sincerely for your continuous support and we have concrete proof of your spirit, your commitment and, best of all, your results. We are proud to announce that together we have raised $1.1 million for breast cancer!
Our Event
French Dressing Jeanswear is proud to sponsor the International Dragon Boats for the Cure festival. In it's seventh season, the International Dragon Boats for the Cure Festival will host paddlers from Canada and the United States as they participate to raise funds to fight breast cancer.

With over 400 BCS paddlers attending it a day full of fun, coming together to celebrate life, and compete on the water. This is the day for our Breast Cancer Surviviors from across the United States and Canada!
12 July 2009 Sunday
Windsor, Essex County and Michigan come together to raise funds for life saving equipment for our hospitals. Make sure you do not miss one of the most beautiful events to honour the ones that we paddle for, our Rose Ceremony!
Watch the races, listen to great music and enjoy the many activites and vendors with everything from art to food. There is something for the whole family including face painting for the kids!
