Welcome to WindsorLive!
Thank you for taking a moment and stopping by the WindsorLive! Community. We are developing an all inclusive and independent local community based online resource proudly serving Windsor and Essex County Ontario. Our focus is to provide information to those previously, and currently, being ignored by the majority of websites and networks. We will do this by removing some of the barriers that prevent many from utilizing the internet to its fullest potential. Our site is intended to strike a balance between the typical internet user and the resources currently unavailable or inaccessible to them.
In addition to developing our website we have begun to focus some attention on public health issues on the WindsorLive! Community discussion forum. As we shift into a new economy public health is essential in our recovery as it is the cornerstone of a productive society. Our region leads the nation in the majority of cancers and other complex medical conditions so let's join together to stand up against the medical establishment and demand adequate health care for all Canadians!
We would also like to take this opportunity to provide our visitors with a wealth of information regarding Influenza as well as Questions and Answers about Pandemic A (H1N1) 2009 plus H5N1 (Avian) Influenza. Please take a few minutes to read more about pandemic influenza vaccine safety and what you can do to prevent the spread of this pandemic.
The primary mission of this site is to promote accessibility awareness by providing a web accessible resources for community groups, social organizations, non profits and charities serving Windsor and Essex County. We will achieve this by providing an accessible information page about your cause, services, mission statement, upcoming events and contact information free of charge. We would like to invite all educators, community advocates, elected officials, political leaders, labour organizations, social groups and non-profit organizations to help us by submitting information to us so we can include the information provided to our database to be distributed throughout our site as well as included in our network search engine, free of charge.
